    gtld.gtld names

Hey guys it's been a while

I had two gtld.gtld names but I stupidly let them expire as I was going through hard times, and by the time I tried to renew them they were already grabbed by someone else

These names were actor.actor and republican.republican, should I feel bad about it? How much would you have bought them for and how much would you have sold them for?

I thought they were great when I managed to register them but then I hardly got offers over the...

I doubt there would be legal trouble with v.cruises considering viking.cruises sold for 5,500 €

On top of the $1,500 one-member panel UDRP fee they also had to pay their attorneys, so you could have tried a low 4-figures counter offer. Depending on the domain name they also could have lost the UDRP, and then you would have been the one leading the negotiations. But if the domain was really infringing you did the right thing, we'll see

  • Right I understand so you're keeping the registrar nameservers, you modify the DNS records on your registrar to redirect all domains to a single URL on websnaper, and then your script on websnaper fetches the referring link (the domain the visitor came from) and redirects the visitor to the corresponding sedo sale page whose URL depends only on the domain name (in this case https://sedo.com/search/details.php4...origin=parking). Nice job

    With my method,...

  • Nice idea! Can't you just do it simply with a 301 redirect to the sedo sale page?

  • Nice to see it is getting ranked fast, though I don't know if it is that surprising. 'Vino' is spanish, 'Rouge' is french, so there aren't many exact search results for "vino rouge". 20,700 results with the quotes, compared to 5,360,000 for "vin rouge".

Alpine is generic and science is generic but as far as I see "Alpine science" is not, it's not something commonly used in speech. I imagine you registered the name because you saw the corresponding .com was registered, and if so you wouldn't have much ground to defend it in UDRP.

Though maybe you can try to give it to them for $200 so they don't have to pay $1,500 for the UDRP, win-win for both.

Indeed they don't want to pay much for it. I had several interested in acquiring a .yoga but a few hundred $ is way too much for them, so I guess they expected to get it for $10. At least I know the emails are getting through since many visited the website I linked in the email.
