How is that a scam? They didn’t take your money and not deliver something.

Did you read their TOS, this person was pretty straight forward, as he worked on the early release of .io registry, I believe as the CTO.

They just adopted what all other gtlds are doing, premium renewal, they just didn’t inform you, or maybe according to their tos they don’t need to inform you.

Just one way of getting the domain back into their inventory, for maybe even a higher...

SUPPOSED to is the main word, it was apparent right from the start they used the loop holes to start gaming the system, the deck was stacked against investors for the most part from day 1 given ICANN didn't get the proper legal framework they should have in the contracts.

Why do you expect them to do anything to benefit the internet, they are like any other business, their bottom line comes first. I am totally for a free, and open drop marketplace like .com, where there is one renewal...

Why wouldn't Donuts cut the domainer out of the equation, with only so many top keyword types per extension, only makes sense form a business perspective to hold the best names for direct sale?

What can anyone say, they own, and control the extension, if they choose to hold back the domain, they have already gone against what the whole gtld process was about since all the good .com's were taken, now all the good gtld's are taken also, maybe they can use that for another round.

  • Just try to get a good price for your quality gtlds, and put it into more safer, and liquid .com's. There is no point reinvesting into an uncertain extension place now. Donuts has been sold, new owners always think they can squeeze more juice out of the fruit. You guys had good insight to invest back in the day, trust your gut, and focus on where much of this is going. How often do you see articles, and PR about GTLD's anymore? I really wish it turned out differently, doesn't mean there isn't...

Marek Your still out of position, it is clear the registries are holding back the better terms, I have been involved with gtld's since pre release day 1 going back over 4 years now.

Thing is your like that clown who bought all those $500 .company renewals, and is yelling from roop tops of his million dollars asks because A.company has infinite potential to Apple, give me a break. The one tool you lack is the connection to actual end users, you get that by owning a good .com portfolio,...

Your advice is spend $500,300 without securing the .com, your an absolute clown, with zero credibility, and even less then 0 in sales, just renewals.

Facts come from experience, and I’m sorry you have lost money, and made some poor investments.

You can say whatever you want to me, it changes nothing. At the end of the day, your still a clown who made all the wrong calls, now it’s simply time to admit it, or you can keep fooling yourself.

I didn’t suck anything out of the forum, the reality of the facts are this thing went sideways. Most of the early guys made some decent sales, and hold the best keywords with...

Call me crazy but why would you not want to target Seattle, last I checked Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon, Expedia are just some of the companies HQ there, and they tend to be some of the largest tech companies out there, with many young innovators travelling there for work, and conferences.

I get your point for wanting to be the highest paid GTLD, makes perfect sense form a marketing point of view.

When I look at your logo I think of Virtual Reality

    The problem...

So what is the deal with the $300 on your $500,300 purchase? I think your logo makes me think of some kind of virtual reality kit.

I looked for rentals in Seattle, I found 1 on your site, and over 300 on VacationRentals.com

You got your work cut out for you, Donuts knows how to sweet talk people, why do you think they sold a portion of their company, there is some serious weakness in the gtld space, sales are getting less, and less each year that passes. You can take a...
