I don't see this being talked about on the blogs unless I missed something.
Could be ugly down the road ?

Just got an email update, donuts will be pushing up pricing on a handful of extensions in October.
My guess one end of this is to try and get domainers to renew many years out, generating a short term influx of revenue against dropping revenues from non renewals.
Not impressed by their actions, my gtld investment strategy will probably be changed by such actions, as we are just pawns in this revenue bleed.
There is not enough traction given more extensions...08-26-2016, 12:20 PM
According to this article, users without active campaigns and users who reach a certain limit will start getting a range of Avg. monthly searches instead of a number.
In other words, instead of seeing "2,400", you will see "1K - 10K".
I don't like it - the ranges are too broad (1K-10K, 10K-100K, 100K-1M).
A domain matching a keyword with 10k monthly searches is very different...08-26-2016, 03:55 PM
It's amazing to see all the nTLDs that are being applied for. Many companies will have their own.
Going to be interesting in the next several years on how this will change the landscape of the domain space.
How will they use them? I think there needs to be some standard left of the dot term to bring one to their homepage....such as home.brand or something to that effect.
List of them here thanks to CalZone.org
